We. have made a phone call to Whiethouse ,asking why he voted for John Ratcliff for CIA Director and Sean Duffy as Trans Secretary.. We are waiting for his reply. At least we were told he is not voting for Kennedy. Originally he made noises that he was going to vote for him. We told the person who answered that if he did that, he would lose our vote. Also sent the following to the NRC; Samuel Adams once said: If you love wealth greater then liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace.. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were ever our countryman. They may well ignore these words, but I felt better sending them. We regret not knowing about the rally, but will keep abreast for future ones. We will want to be out there rallying against the destruction.
Thank you for your work! We are mobilizing here in beautiful, threatened Skagit County. Our Dem MOCs say to keep it up, that we must continue this pressure by calling, emailing, and showing up.
As you know, we in RI have all Dems in Congress. They are working hard to push back, especially Whitehouse re climate. Amo is re immigration as he covers Central Falls, and others are right in there. There was a rally at State House yesterday mainly against Musk with ~200 people. Not bad for noon, mid-week.
I have made several calls and sent emails. Greg, as usual, working hard esp on climate and local issues.
